Cockyard Tump Trig Point

Ok, what can I say about the Cockyard Tump trig point…?

Cockyard Tump Location from www.streetmap.co.uk

Grid reference: SO 41109 33969 | T:UK waypoint: TP2319 | Taken from www.streetmap.co.uk

It’s the easiest one so far! It’s also the least challenging one too!

I parked outside the gate to the field that the trig point was in. The gate was already wide open – it made things even less challenging! I didn’t even need to exert myself!

You can see the trig pillar from the road and from the gate… You can even see it on Google Maps! I can’t stretch this blog out anymore than that!

Anyway, I headed up the hill, took in the views and bagged the Cockyard Tump trig point!

Nothing to it. If you’re looking for a quick and easy one – this – so far – has got to be it! Short on time? Got a trig bag itch to scratch? This is the one for you!

It was quite cool to see Madley Communication Station in the distance with its massive satellite dishes. Plus there’s the currently snow capped hills in the opposite direction. No animals, no other interesting things bar a fallen tree… So, I’ll keep this one short, sweet and to the point! Job done!
