Other Trig Points

Welcome to My UK Trig Point Bagging Journey!

If you’re into hillwalking, exploring the outdoors, or just love a challenge, you’re in the right place. This page is dedicated to documenting the trig points I’ve bagged around the UK – outside of Herefordshire at least! Whenever I travel, I take the chance to locate and log another pillar.

These triangulation pillars, often called trig points, were used in the past to help map the country. Now, they serve as fun markers and unique goals for hikers and adventurers like me. Each one has its own story, its own view and sometimes… Its own surprise.

Why Trig Bagging?

Bagging trig points isn’t just about ticking boxes. It’s about discovering places off the beaten track. It’s about reaching quiet summits, hidden corners of countryside, and enjoying views not everyone gets to see.

I use this page to share my experiences, routes, photos, and tips. Some are roadside bags. Others are full hikes through mud, mist and sheep. Either way, they’re all part of the fun!

Explore, Plan, and Get Inspired

If you’re planning your own trig point challenge or just fancy a unique walking goal, I hope this page helps. With every update, I aim to make this a useful, honest, and slightly muddy corner of the internet.

Check back for new entries, and don’t forget your walking boots. Above all, the next trig is always just a field or two away! Got a question? Catch me on Insta!

Thanks so much for joining me on this journey across the UK’s trig points. Whether you’re a fellow bagger, a curious explorer, or just passing through, I hope you’ve found something useful (or at least entertaining!) here.

There’s something special about standing beside a lonely pillar in the middle of nowhere, knowing you’ve earned the view. I’ll keep updating the page with new finds whenever I can – rain, shine or sideways wind.

Got a favourite trig point? A hidden gem? Or just want to say hello? Drop me a DM on Insta or comment on here – I love connecting with fellow adventurers.

Until then… Happy walking, and I’ll see you at the next trig!
