The Skenchill trig point bag was a quick and easy one. However, I should have made more of the glorious weather that today had in store! Had I known I would have made more of it!
All this one required was a drive all the way along a massive driveway (I think that’s what it was)! It wasn’t really an easy drive in the car – it bottomed out a few times – a few butt clenches were required as I bounced around along the track! However, I got there in the end. Through the last gate in what looked like a cow field (although it was empty that day).
There it was… The Skenchill trig point.
Just on the top of the hill by the barbed wire fence just before the driveway of the driveway where the house was!Nice views in all directions despite it being a fairly mundane bag. Not much more to it. Dropped a pin in Google Maps and got there despite taking a wrong turn up the wrong driveway, parking up and walking to the wrong house! Soon realised something was up as I was heading downhill but I thought I could see the trig pillar in a garden! Didn’t know what exactly it was but Google Maps acquired a signal and buzzed me relentlessly to tel me I was in the wrong place. oops!
There was a lane that split into two… Which then turned into long driveways. It’s the one on the right… Not the left!
Aside from this navigational mishap, easy peasy. Another one in the bag! However, not the easiest one to get to in the car because of the narrow lanes and the rough ‘driveway’.
As always, thanks for reading! If you’re bagging this one – good luck! If you’d like to try another, check out my other trig bags here!
