The Dudhill Farm trig point bag was a little further away than my previous bags. For this one, I headed up past Bromyard to bag a couple in the northeast of Herefordshire. Just to mix it up a bit!
This one was a straightforward drive. However, after recent snowfall, the roads were almost completely clear so no issues there. There was the sporadic dusting of snow along the way as I was pretty high up as expected!
An early Sunday morning start and I headed for the Upper Sapey Village Hall to park up. Completely empty and with no heads up an=bout vacating the car park for an event that day (like other village hall car parks) I didn’t have to disappear quickly!
This was a super straightforward trig point bag.
Heading left out of the village hall car park and over straight over the crossroads, all it involved was a leisurely walk up the road. The trig point was about half a mile from the village hall, so I looked from a gate to hop over to get to the other side of the hedge.
There was a gate after a house into a field of sheep and lambs.
Again, heading left along the hedge, the Dudhill Farm trig point was sitting there in the distance. An easy spot and an easy bag!
However, the field was a bit ‘mushy’ and squelchy under foot as a result of the recent snowfall that had since disappeared. Not in too bad condition next to a gap in the hedge which you’d have to be brave to hop over that. Barbed wire and tight wires! Go over the gate – it’s way easier and probably a lot less painful!
