The Bringsty Common trig point bag was a dive into one of the more north eastern trig points on offer. For this one, I headed up past Bromyard. Just to keep things interesting!
It was a fairly nice day, no real chill in the air and the recent snowfall had all but disappeared. The sun was out and it was generally a nice day! However, there was evidence of snowfall – including three giant snowballs on the way to the trig point!
I parked in a parking area just off the turn for the Live and Let Live 16th century pub and restaurant.
Knowing the trig pillar was fairly close by, it was just a case of walk uphill… To the highest point!
A out popular with horses and riders – there were prints everywhere and even passed one toward the end.
There was a cool guide and map in the car park.
I headed up the hill, the highest point, toward some trees where the Bringsty Common was likely to be. However, be warned, watch out for the dog sh*t! it was EVERYWHERE ☹ So much for the signs saying pick it up. Bit disappointing to see such disregard for what was a nice little place.
Anyway, up the hill and there was the Bringsty Common trig point!
Unusually, it wasn’t quite on the highest point. Wasn’t far off, but wasn’t actually. Much like the Burton Hill trig point – that was threw me off bigtime!
Another one in the bag! Lovely panoramic views with a nice route to follow too. There was also a cool memorial to mark the year 2000 on the same mound so I grabbed a few pictures of this too while I was there.
As always, thanks for reading and if you’re on Instagram, let’s follow each other!
