For the Corner Cop trig point bag, I parked in a housing estate at Baron’s Cross. Beats dumping the car on the side of the road or a grubby layby! I could see where it was likely to be so set out in its general direction.
There was a lane I followed, and the Public Footpath sign confirmed the way.
I headed up toward Waltons Farm Cat Hotel. Apparently that’s a thing!
A little way down this track there was a way into a field through the hedge. A well-trodden access point by the looks of it!
I headed over the fence and through the hedge into a field with a couple of pylons in it.
Again it was obvious where the Corner Cop trig point was going to be so headed up the field. Nice little calf burner this one!
Reached the top of the sloped field and there it was sitting proudly in another field.
I clambered over the wobbly gate topped with barbed wire and bagged the trig. However, had I cared to stop for a minute and look in the field to the right, there was a big gap in the fence that others used to access the Corner Cop trig point! Oops! Ideal really as that gate would have been a bugger to negotiate from the other side because of the angle, the wobbliness and of course the barbed wire!
In my defence, the gap in the hedge isn’t immediately obvious from the approach I took. If you’re planning on taking the same route as me – go through the hedge!
Anyway, that’s another one in the bag! Quite an easy one this one. Finally, back the way I came to the car and I just beat the rain!

Thanks as always for reading. Above all, I hope it was useful!
