There really wasn’t much to write about for the Park Field trig point bag! However, I must say something for you avid trig baggers and give you a little insight on how you can bag an easy Herefordshire trig point.
There’s a big pull-in along the A44. Visible on Google Maps, I opted to try this out instead of pulling in front of the gate.
Turned out to be a good idea as the pull in was plenty big enough for a couple of cars.
Outside the gate however, was a LOT of mud. As I write this, we’ve had loads of rain lately and my car was not getting out of that!
The pull-in was a much better idea. However, as I spun around to head back from bagging the trig, I had to dodge something big (a badger?) that ran infront of me before deciding to run back the way it came from! Apologies to the oncoming vehicle who was probably thinking WTF when I was on their side of the road!
Heading right at the junction, there are two gates a couple of yards up on the left. Hop over the gate on the left and head to the top of the field. You can just about see the Park Field trig point from the gate too!
As I mentioned, with all the rain, the field was really, really soggy. I should have been more prepared as my feet were soaked… And muddy!
I might just put the Park Field trig point bag into the ‘roadside bag’ bracket.
It was that easy. If you’re looking for a quick and easy bag, try this one, Campfield New, Cockyard Tump trig point or the Burghill trig point.
Thanks for checking out my blog! Above all, I hope it was engaging and useful. As I write this, I’ve just hit the 500 follower mark on Instagram which is cool. If you’ve come from there, thank you! Therefore if you are one of these followers (that I always follow back) – thank you!
