I’ll be honest, I’m going to struggle to say much at all about the Urishay Common trig point bag! I decided that due to the location along some horrific single track lanes, that I would bag the Bonnylands trig point and the Urishay Common trig points at the same time. I scoped out both and saw that they were awkwardly located and that the *ahem* ‘roads’ that lead to them were best described as anything but!
The Urishay Common trig point is definitely falling under the ‘roadside bag’ bracket. If you like, you can pull up in front of it on the single track lane and bag it. If you wanted to make a tiny bit more of it, there’s a space at the entrance to the field behind the trig on the left and on the right the entrance to a driveway that you can borrow for a minute or two.
Had to do a bit of ‘improvised gardening’ when I got to the trig pillar. The hedge was pretty overgrown and I had to flatten a bit of shrubbery to get a half decent photo. Think I did the job OK!
Urishay Common trig point bagged in unspectacular fashion!
Not one for the thrill-seeker… Unless you like driving around shitty, single track lanes! On my way back to what I would deem a road, I saw something scuttling about in the road. It was a tiny hedgehog! I stopped to shoe it off the road (I realised writing this it would have made for a cool photo to add to a somewhat uninteresting bag – my bad!).
Hedgehog saved and trig point bagged! Not much else besides!
